The Creative Apprentices (CAPs) program for 8th & 9th graders is designed to foster originality and independence among our oldest campers. CAPs take charge of their summer experience, structuring their schedules based on their particular interests and talents. CAPs also enjoy leadership opportunities: they may choose to help in some of the younger campers’ classes, and can help with daily tasks such as snack & lunch. Daily leadership meetings provide feedback and guidance.

Counselors in Training (CITs) assist in all areas of CASA, working with teachers and assistant teachers throughout the day. Their schedule is based upon the program’s needs. Daily team meetings provide important feedback and help hone emerging leadership skills. Applicants commit to work with for the full session (six weeks from June 16th – July 24th) or may elect to work for our August Institute (two weeks from July 28th – August 8th). A letter of recommendation, resume, and an interview are required.
