  • Spanish Heritage Camp:
    • Every day, campers will take public transportation and have daily adventures in different neighborhoods in D.C. to learn or practice Spanish in authentic settings and to get a taste of the food, culture, music, stories and games of a variety of Spanish-speaking communities in our city.
Some of the activities we have planned include a theater workshop with bilingual actors, a soccer match, a dominican cooking class with a restaurant owner and a cultural event at the Mexican Cultural Institute.

A typical day will consist of a mini-lesson to prep for our travels, two major activities/visits, ordering lunch in Spanish, and a reflection on the day’s events back at Sheridan.  On Friday afternoon, they will prepare a culminating ¨Fiesta¨ to share what they’ve learned! Parents are invited.
      Fee: $550/week

  • Art & Culture Camp:
    • Campers will take public transportation and have daily adventures in different museums in D.C. where they will meet with an educator that will tour them around or they will have a self-guided tour.
Some of the museums we are planning to visit are: Natural History Museum, Portrait Museum, Spy Museum, National Art Gallery, and the Hirshhorn Museum!

A typical day will consist of a mini-lesson to prep for our travels, a museum visit, lunch around the Mall, and a reflection on the day’s events back at Sheridan.
      Fee: $550/week

  • Science & Adventure Camp:
    • When children spend quality time outside it can have a lasting, positive impact on their personal lives and their future. This is one of the reasons we decided to have a fun outdoor camp where campers can explore our own Rock Creek Park. Campers will walk to Rock Creek Park from CASA to begin their daily adventures. This camp includes exploration of trails, hiking, learning about conservation, creating amazing artwork made of found objects and recycled materials, making shelters, crafting tools, and tracking animals.

A typical day will consist of a mini-lesson to prep for our travels, hit Rock Creek Park, have lunch there, and a reflection on the day’s events back at Sheridan.
      Fee: $550/week
