Casa campers will whip up delicious desserts, cakes, breads, and cookies.

CASA Newspaper

Extra! Extra! Write, edit, illustrate, design, and layout the CASA newspaper. Roam the camp, interview staff and campers, conduct polls, create puzzles, take pictures using the digital camera then put it all together. (This class is designed for campers entering 3rd – 7th grade)

CASA TV

Here’s the scoop: become a reporter, new anchor, or TV producer. Entertainment, sports, and news all come alive at CASA!

Clever Clay Creations

Experiment with all types of clay to create awesome, creative works of art to take home or give as gifts.

Clay Mania

If youre a clay-niac this class is for you! Learn the secrets of working with clay and you'll soon be making the most amazing pieces. (Offered only for session I, II and III)

Floor Hockey

The basic skills of floor hockey are yours for the learning through game playing in a non-competitive atmosphere.

CASA Musical

The show must go on! Take part in a large scale, Broadway-style production. Under the guidance of a talented group of theater artists/teachers campers will participate in acting, dance, voice, and music as well as costume, prop, and set design to stage a wonderful musical production. Auditions will be held at the start of the program. The performance will be held at the end of the six-week session at our Arts Festival on July 23, 2009 at 6:30pm and on July 24, 2009 at Noon. Extra rehearsals during Festival Period and after camp may be needed. Campers will need to take this double-period class (period 3 & 4) for six weeks if they would like to participate. (This class is designed for campers entering 3rd – 7th grade). (Offered only for session I, II and III)

Ballet /Jazz

Shall we dance? Learn the correct alignment of the body, position of the feet, elementary part de bras, locomotive movements, basic ballet turns and jumps and fundamental jazz steps…including jazz hands!

Chess for All

It’s strategic, it’s intense, and it’s a great way to practice discipline and strengthen your intellect. Best of all, it’s fun!

Yoga

Tap into greater self-expression, body-awareness, social skills, positive thinking, and environmental awareness. Explore basic yoga poses, breathing exercises, and relaxation techniques. (Offered only for session I, II and III)

Soccer

This will cover the principles of offense and defense as well as the roles for attacking and defending.  Students will have  small sided games, using defenders as attackers and vice versa. Hone goalie skills, dribbling, heading, trapping, controlling, dribbling for possession and keeping team shape.  We’ll highlight  technical and tactical skills and the importance of the positions on the field. 

By the end of the session, campers understand that teamwork, sportsmanship and respect are the three traits that assure success on the soccer field.

Digital Photo

This class will have a series of lessons designed to introduce beginning photographers to the basic techniques of digital photography. (Offered only for session I, II and III)

Lego Land

In this class students will be presented with a weekly building challenge. Their teacher will help them learn how to visualize parts of the whole to achieve an efficient construction. (Offered only for session I, II and III)

CASA Sing Along  (just for session IV)

Everyone can sing…but everyone can also sing BETTER! Improve your singing voice by mastering techniques such as  pitch, breathing, and projection, then show off your new pipes at an end-of-session performance. (Session IV only.)

Knitting

Learn to knit  or create new projects in this fun class! (Session IV only)

Ink and Printmaking

Ink work is one of the most ancient and beautiful of the visual arts. Master the basics of monotypes, rubber printing, and printmaking, using ink as your medium. (Offered only for session  IV.)

Mixed Media Workshop

This workshops will explore materials like wire, plaster, clay or recycle material to create your own artwork. You will use your hands to channel your imagination.
